They even sell printer/docking stations so you can print your own pictures.

Scanning is becoming more and more popular, it is quick and easy. It is a little more expensive than a less expensive digital camera but some people are saying they are worth it because the pictures come out with a better quality. The scanners have a higher resolution quality. The pictures come out brighter and they have more quality. You can also change the red eye on a scanned picture. This can be done in the Imaging for Windows part of the scanning.

Pictures taken from a scanner can be saved and downloaded to any drug store that has the online picture process available. So the only real difference in scanning vs. picture taking is that the quality of picture is better. To some people it doesn’t make a difference but when you want the best looking pictures scanning is better than picture taking.
